:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Syed A Hasan Uddin (Rezvi) -- A great and relevant read for all children of immigrants! : I thoroughly enjoyed reading this books by first time author MTC after it was recommended. The book is relevant for all children of immigrants who are seen not only as aliens in the host country but also the ancestral home of the parents. The book grapples with important issues of religion, culture, language, integration and what it means to grow up with the influence of different cultures and backgrounds and how it is possible to live in harmony with all as a better human being. It also tackles head on some of the issues arising from extremism and wahabism that is used by the West for perhaps its own narrative and the importance of revised Islamic renaissance in Muslim countries and thinkers that revive classical philosophy for more contemporary times. I look forward to the writer's future books. A very relevant voice in relevant and troubled times where children are brought up in conflicting culture and ideology.
